How can I book & pay for a room for someone else?

My mother will be traveling and I want to pay for her room. I will not be coming with her. How can this be done since I won't be there to present my credit card/debit card?

I think you might be able to do it over the phone,  and I also think that somtimes like when you check in then you pay for it.

I did this for my mom not long ago.  Just pay with your debit/credit card, but tell them it is for her.  They will put her name down as the person who is checking in.  We didn't have any problems with the reservations.
