How can I boost my ACT score?

I'm an upcoming senior in high school and haven't taken the ACT since 10th grade.

Scores:

Composite - 30

English - 33

Math - 26

Reading - 28

Science - 30

  1. I would suggest using a study guide book if you haven't already.  I used Kaplan's and I think it helped me.  I got a good score the first time around.


  2. Buy a book and do the practice tests in there. I used a book called "The Real ACT" that is made by the ACT company. Make sure that you review the answers that you got wrong and find out why you got them wrong.

    Assuming you took math during your junior year, you probably know a lot more content now so you can hopefully raise that by 5+ points.

    Like it says in all the ACT books, the only way to improve your score is to become more familiar with the tests. Just take 2-3 practice tests until you're comfortable, and then you should be good to go.
