Question:

How can I boost my childs immune system (frequently sick!?!)?

My daughter is 5 years old, goes to pre-k and was in daycare early because I had to work. I'm divorced now and raising her as a single parent. I've lost 3 jobs due to missing days because she's sick. I'm job hunting again but without much confidence that its going to last.

I am big on nutrition, give her fish oil, vitamins, extra vitamin c, we even juice our own OJ when possible, this child is sick almost bi-weekly for 2-5 days at a time. she recently overcame pneumonia and now is running a fever with a stomach ache.

I cant' take this, I don't know what else to do. I had to cancel my job interview today. Not to mention I want to help my child, her pediatrician just dismisses it as "all kids get sick a lot" but I just don't feel this is normal. Help Please!

  1. Try acidophilus. It will repopulate your child's gut with good bacteria and has little or no side effects. (Also, its cheap!)

  2. Table sugar weakens your immune system and foods loaded with white sugar or refined sugar include lollies, candy, desserts, cakes, ice cream, cookies, biscuits, chocolate and many others.  See items 1 and 5 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm .
