You can do it by using red and blue (or better, red and cyan) photographic filters or theater gels or even cellophane from a craft store, held in a simple posterboard frame.  But the cardboard ones are available cheap on the web, and sometimes you even can find a site that will send you a free pair.  When searching, use "anaglyph."
