How can I burn my Tivo recordings to a dvd?

I already have Tivo but I don't know what else to do after I've recorded what I wanted. Please help as soon as you can.

I run my tivo to a dvd recorder and then onto the tv.  My stuff is a couple of years old and I've heard newer units employ copy write protection (on many movies, though I haven't heard this about tv shows) which is, no doubt, a bummer!!
