Question:

How can I burn video from my Kodak EasyShare Z612?

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z612 and love the quality and ease of use. However, I have video that I took at an NFL game last year and some of my new nephew and my son catching the ball at his first varsity scrimmage last night. I can't seem to figure out how to change the type of file to burn it to a dvd to watch on the tv. I have the ability to watch it through the camera and patch cords but want to burn it to send to relatives.

Help!! Help from Kodak is c**p and doesn't tell you anything...

  1. What format does the camera create, i.e. what is the file extension?

For watching it from a DVD on a TV, you possibly need it to be an avi format, although newer DVD players can handle other formats, too.

Find out what formats your DVD player can cope with, then there are converter programs around that change file format from one to the other, but your disk burning software (e.g. Nero, Roxio, etc) might do it, too.
