Question:

How can I buy Silver ETFs?

I would like to buy Silver on the stock market, using Exchange-Traded Funds.

Where can these be bought? From a stockbroker or online?

Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. You can buy the ETF for silver. The ticker symbol is SLV. I would strongly suggest that you not invest in the ETF unless its in an IRA. If its a standard investment outside an IRA then I strongly suggest that you buy silver and take personal delivery of it. We are seeing a banking collapse. Holding the real tangable silver is the best way to store wealth. As people flock to silver and gold to hedge against inflation and a collapsing economy those that are holding the real thing an not paper assets will be in better shape. To buy the real thing contact Monex. Ive been using them and Im happy with them.

  2. Open an account with http://www.scottrade.com or any of the other online brokers.  Do a little bit of research and you'll be buying ETF's and stocks in no time.

Of course you probably already know that silver is traded on the mercantile exchange and is a commodity, not a fund or stock, right?  There are ETF's that are tied to silver through the stocks that make them up, but you won't actually be "buying silver".
