How can I buy books from Amazon without incurring really high postage costs?

I want to purchase about 12 childrens new and used paper back books.

The cost of postage is twice as much as the cost of the books, how can I avoid this cost?

Is there another online seller who can beat Amazon's overall prices?

Thanks

  1. Some places give you free delivery

Or with Amazon if you spend over £15 the delivery is free so try that.

Or at the moment Waterstones has free delivery on their books in the UK so perhaps try from there too?

  2. The have special savers over £25

  3. Wherever you go you will have to pay the postage costs.

Books are heavy that is why you pay for postage.

  4. Postage on Amazon is free when you spend over £15. Make sure you're on .co.uk not .com.

  5. i bought some stuff of bookrabbit recently - a brilliant site, beat amazon's prices and free postage too!

if you want second-hand stuff, why not try swap sites?

    eg (uk) http://www.readitswapit.com
