How can I call US from the Philippines?

I live in the Philippines and I would like to call someone in the US.

Ok,so the number is like 801-386-xxxx.

How can I call it?Is there a code that must be dial first or what?

Hotel phone-> dial 9 then 001-801-386-x*x

Better let your fingers do the walking.  Grab a phone directory and look for Long DIstance Calls.

buy a pldt IDD prepaid card then follow the instruction at the back. the country code for USA is 1. or if u have IDD in ur landline, u can dial direct.. it will be like: dial 00 + country code (1) + area code (801) + phone number.. or you could also call via the operator.. prepared for the bill if u use ur landline.^^  (801 in ur given for number is the area code of the city u are calling) if ur gonna be calling this person regularly, use pc-pc chats w/ video.. YM, skype, msn etc...
