How can I call honduras from the U.S.A.?

i have a calling card, but dont know how to call to honduras. Accually i am in Honduras and my wife needs to call me. any help. I'm on the military post here on Soto Cano Air base

Your wife must dial 011 + 504 + your Honduras number (generally 7 digits).

One of the cheapest ways is to call through Skype (assuming your wife has access to the internet and a headset or microphone and speakers). Have your wife download the program from www.skype.com then put money on her account. If you have access to the internet at the same time you both could talk for free. Skype-to-skype calls are free. I have called a friend in Indonesia through Skype and it worked great!

With a calling card she would need to dial 011+(504)+your phone number in Honduras. That is usually a more costly way to call.

Another option is to look into getting a Vonage phone. (That is, if you have internet access regularly.) I have several friends in Tegus with Vonage phones and for me it's just like calling a US phone. The connection has always been great!

Yet another option is for you to call her. The last I heard was that the rates through Hondutel went down for calls to the US. It's now much cheaper to call the US from Honduras than to call Honduras from the US.

I know it's hard to make calls to Honduras. My in-laws live down there, mostly in Siguatepeque and Tegus. We don't get to call too often. My husband was a contract employee for Harris Communications for about 4 years at Soto Cano. We lived in Siguate while he worked there.
