How can I call the U.S.A. from Switzerland??? Cheaply...?

I bought a prepay Euro Phone here in Switzerland, it came with 5 credits, which I dont know what those are, probably just like minutes. I would like to call the states to talk to family!!!

Is there a way to do it cheaply?

Is it better for them to call me?? And if so do I need credits for them to call me??

And what are my options as far as calling home goes?

I am very close to some nice phones with like credit card acceptance and things?? Not sure if those would be a good option.

I am not sure if it costs credits if someone calls your phone.

If it does not, what I suggest is this:

To receive calls from the USA, have the people call your prepay Euro phone

To call the USA, use a prepaid phone card and call from a telephone booth or a private phone.

I would not use a phone that takes credit cards, because one of the problems  is that sometimes the calls turn out to cost more than was advertised....often a LOT more!!    If you are using a prepaid telephone card, when the credit/money is gone, it is gone and you don't get any surprises on your credit card bill.

take your laptop, go to Skype.com and you can talk via the internet for free :)
