  1. Is he fixed?  If not that is probably why he took off and he could have been in a very bad fight with another cat.  If he's not, get him fixed and it will considerably lesson his running off.  If he is fixed, take him to the vet anyway for a check up and make sure that he's not hurt.  He could have an injury somewhere that you can't see or feel and he could be in pain.  If the vet says he's fine, just keep him in the house and set up a quiet area for him.  My cats like boxes, so maybe put a couple of warm blankets in a box in a room that isn't used very much and let him have some space.  The more you coddle him, the more he will get agitated.  Leave him alone for  awhile, and I'm sure he'll come around.

  2. squirt water on him

  3. Oh poor thing, cant you make him an indoor cat? I adopted a cat at age 11 he was outdoor only, didn't even know how to use a litter box!! I made him an indoor kitty, he lived to be 18, its best to keep kitties indoors they are safe and much happier!! I say let him calm down in time hopefully he will. I can only imagine what he went through to make him so upset, poor thing.. best to make him an indoor kitty! GOOD LUCK

  4. tame him again and again, feed his favorite food. and give him a mate (female mate)

-your cat must fought another male cat or something. and the cause of the fight must be to win over a female cat.

try my method. it works on my cat.

  5. Unlike dogs, cats have retained their natural instincts very well, despite thousands of years of domestication... your cat has probably gone a little feral, but you can fix this... it takes allot of time and attention, and you have to commit. If cats from a young age are not socialized with people,  then they won't tolerate people... in short... keep him in one room for a while, and spend LOTS AND LOTS of time with him... and try not to let him out again ^__^

  6. I have had this happen to me. Just leave it alone for awhile and let it sniff around. It worked for me.
