How can I can't enable my internet?

How come I can't enable my internet but can still browser thru sites? The internet icon on taskbar won't show ?

If you can browse through sites then your internet must be enabled... maybe you are looking at the wrong button.

Your connection is enabled or you wouldn't be able to browse through sites - as for the icon click on network/network places (depending on your OS) find the connection that is enabled right click choose properties you should see a box to check if you want the status displayed.
