go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column Leave Group, check small box - click save changes

Log in the yahoo account. Go to the group webpage.

Edit your membership - at the bottom, there is a button:

Leave Group.

Click on that button and follow the instruction.
