How can I catch a guinea pig running loose in my neighbor's yard?

Someone abandoned their pet guinea pig in my neighbor's yard and I would like to catch it before a cat does but that lil guy is quick! Any ideas on how I can catch him? He stays hiding behind a very long thick hedge of bushes that I cannot get behind and although I have been bringing him food, he will not get close enough for me to grab him. ANY ideas???

For the guinea pig you can make it come to you buy putting food on the floor or on your hand and away from taht you can put cat food on the other side so when the guinea pig comes the cat doesnt attack it and goes straight to the cat food.
