How can I catch bass on ky lake?

I am going fishing on 9-8 to 9-12 08 at ky lake want to know where to fish and what to use .

  1. Not knowing the lake is a disadvantage but here are some tips. look for structure, shoreline and open water structure usually hold fish. if you have a depthfinder look for ledges. throwing a texas rigged worm at weedlines is a good start. match the water color to the bait. dark water = dark lures

    clear water= light color lures.


  2. Oh yes, Kentucky Lake! I've only fished KY Lake (on the TN. side) one time. I went out with a guy who showed me how to properly fish the shakey head for bass. We used a 3/16 oz. shakey head, Zoom and Powerbait finesse worms. We caught a bunch of fish using those, jig n pig, and Texas rigged 10 inch Powerbait Powerworms. The bite was slow, but it was slowly consistent. I'm telling you this, but The difference is I was fishing a little later in the year. Here's a link to get KY Lake fishing reports.
