I am fishing a fairly small lake that reaches depths of 106 feet. This depth is only in the middle and I am not fishing there but I am usually fishing in 8 to 10 feet of water. What lure would you recommend if the water is warm and very very clear? I like the idea of crankbaits and those seem like they would work well but I have never used them on this lake before. Also would you recommend blue or clear mono line? Both lines are 6 LB test but I was wondering which one would look better in the water or which would the bass be less likely to see. aI have also been fishing all of my lures with a leader that is silver and gold. Would you recommend that I don't use a leader and just tie the lures on or does its not make a difference? Also another thing about the crankbaits is that where I am fishing the bottom is either sand or mud not rocks. Would this make the crankbait less effective considering that its main purpose is to bounce off the rocks and there are none to bounce off of? I know I am asking a lot of questions but thank you in advance if you can answer some of them.
