Question:

How can I change LPT (Dot Matrix Printer) printing to USB Printer in FoxPro (DOS based)?

I'm using a legacy application written in FoxPro 2.6 (DOS). It gives output using LPT port for DMP. Now I want to take printouts using a USB printer (preferably Laser). What should I do? Is there any s/w utility or some settings in the application?

  1. Talk about being stuck in the last century. At the very least get foxpro 2.6 windows. Your app will still run but windows can send output to the USB port.

  2. http://www.printfil.com/english.htm

    http://www.dos2usb.com/

    This *might* work http://geekswithblogs.net/dtotzke/articl...

  3. try looking at this: http://3d2f.com/programs/54-729-swit-pri...

It's a virtual LPT printer driver that listens to LPT port and redirect printing to a file or another printer.

PS: I've never used the software, nor do I know the author, try it at your own risk
