How can I change/hide my Canada IP Address to a UK IP so I can watch programs on BBC Iplayer?

Here's the story..... I am from the UK and in Canada till Xmas and really miss watching eastenders and wondered what I would have to do, so I can watch.

Why should you be allowed to watch iplayer when you don't pay a licence fee. Get someone to video the programmes you want and send it to you.

Actually you are not missing anything at all as things like Eastenders is one of the worst shows on telly.

i am not too sure but as a suggestion try downloading yahoo toolbar ,,,,http://uk.yahoo.com/ and set it as your home page,,,you get uk and ireland news and i guess should be able to download brit stuff as well,

As far as I know they have set it up to detect genuine UK ISPs only. Everything else it rejects including all proxies. It will even reject UK proxies as people living in the UK have found out.

I mean it's hardly rocket science is it? Not an acceptable ISP block it.

1. Try to use UK's proxy, find it out by your search enginee, or

2. Set your modem to dial up to your ISP in UK, an international call.. It's very very expensive..  :D

You can do this through a proxy.

Visit http://proxy.org/proxies_sorted.shtml

There, choose a proxy in the United Kingdom, and you should be able to access BBC player.
