How can I change my computer password? (the one that locks my PC)?

Hi. Does anyone know how to change the password on a laptop? My password was set by my husband, and I know it, but I want to change it to my own preferred password, and I don't know how. any help?

  1. Once you have logged in to the PC, press these three keys at the same time:  the Control key, the Alt key and the Delete key.

    From the list that pops up, choose "Change Password"  Then, type in your existing password in the "Old Password" box.  After that, type in your new password into the other 2 boxes.


  2. If you use Windows XP - when running press CTRL-ALT-DEL together.

    The popup screen there shows the button " change password ".

    That is the easiest way.

  3. Start - control panel - user account - owner - change password

  4. Go into user accounts, and change password.

  5. go to start click run then type> control then click user accounts, select the name you want to change and click change password.
