My ViP722 DVR is hooked up to work through the "game" channel on my main tv. How can I switch this to work through regular old channel 3? I have tried switching the red, yellow, and white wires on my tv and trying them on the other video/audio input ports, but then same thing happens (note: there are red, yellow and white ports in the front and another set in the back of the tv).

Thanks!

  1. Your DVR is connected through composite. There is no channel for that, it just happens that you video port is called "game".

To make it work on channel 3 you need to connect via a COAX cable. So connect the coax out of the DVR to the coax in of the TV. Make sure the DVR is set to ch 3.

  2. TV GUY is wrong. There is no coax output for tv 1 on a 722 receiver. It is a HD reciever and there is not point in hooking it up that way. You will have to use some other input on the back of your tv.
