How can I change my trust fund lawyer?

i was awarded some money after winning a lead poisoning case, I was appointed a trustee and am now 18 and the trustee won't give me my money. Do you know how I can get my money or change the lawyer without having to spend much money?

  1. You won't like the answer, but in all likelihood you can't.  The money was put in trust for you for a reason -- so it is not squandered to youthful indiscretion.  The trustee will look out for your best interests.

    I hope you've recovered from any ill effects of lead.


  2. Read over the trust fund papers you received when the trust was established.  The age is normally 21 and no you cannot change the lawyer if he is the trust manager.
