  1. Sign in anywhere on Yahoo.

At top of page, click on "My Account".

    Enter your password again.

In the "Member Information" area, down just a little ways, to the right of "Time Zone:",  you should see your area's time zone.   Example:   Time Zone: U.S. Central .

If it is not correct, Click on "Edit" to the right of "Member Information".

    Scroll down to "General Preferences".

To the right of "Time Zone:", use the drop down arrow to select the correct time zone for your area.

Click "Finished" on the lower right side or upper right side of page.

  2. you'd set your time zone by clicking calendar tab within your group- to the right it says Time Zone- click and change

  3. Hi,

I live in NJ but and my time is set to GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern. But when I post messages it adds 9.5 hrs to the time.If I post a message at 11:30 a.m it shows the time posted as 9:30 p.m.

    Appreciate any answers.

  4. The only answer I can come up with is in the Calendar:

Why am I asked for my local time zone?

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

This is so events and reminders occur at the proper time for all members of your group. The calendar calculates the correct hour to display events based on each member's local time zone setting.

    EST is set at:

Time Zone: GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern

(Group) Calendar / Calendar Options / General Preferences

Date & Time = Time Zone: GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern

This is the only place I could find to change the group time!
