How do I know where to properly place my group?

Browse or search through the Yahoo! Groups directory to find the appropriate category. Look for categories that list similar groups or are specifically devoted to your subject.

Note: Adult-oriented groups must be placed in the "Adult" category ("Romance & Relationships > Adult" or other sub-category with the word "adult" in it).

Our team of category editors will review your selection and might change the location of your group. Your group will be listed in the Yahoo! Groups directory within a few days.

I assume it's in adult- that's the only category a owner cant change :) if it is in adult- send in the bottom form to yahoo, only they can reset a groups category- be sure there is no adult content hiding any where in files or photo's- on the form include the category your group should be in-

the only time yahoo generally replies other than an auto reply, is when you forget to include the proper category on the form.

others have said the category is reset within 24 hours- you'll go take a look and it'll just be swtich back

if this is not the issue- on the home page right where the descrption text would begin is "Description  (Edit, Add Photo)" click the edit- scroll down to category and click that edit- follow and search for new category
