I'm a 16 year old who just recently applied for a job at the movie theaters. I had to apply online and part of the application process was giving them my socail security number. I've heard that as long as the page has a lock on it that it should be safe, but if I could just check up on my ss# every now and then t would give me peace of mind. How would I do this?

  1. If you applied with a reputable company, then you should be okay.

I am not familiar with any method of checking to ensure your SS# has not been compromised. Generally, you would discover such a breach by checking your credit reports to ensure that a whole bunch of unfamiliar accounts haven't popped up.
