I broke up with my bf and am all alone, I don't like to go out by myself, especially to eat or anywhere else where I'll stick out like a sore thumb all by myself especially since I'm super shy so I am angry my friends are saying just go out and have fun, like they don't get it just because they have boyfriends to hang out with. How can I feel better?

  1. Deal with it dear.  I will spend mine alone again.  Find other friends to hang with.  Life doesn't revolve around having a boyfriend.

  2. Hey. Cheer up and feel happy about being a wonderful person. Imagine the amount of friends you have, the love of family you have, and all the positive things you've done that have made vast differences in your life.

These are the things we should build on to achieve successes and bridges in life.

Go out and spend your Labour Day with family and friends. Those are far much brighter spots than anything else.

And don't you worry, the right guy is always the guy that will be there for you - forever! Remember that. If he's not there for you, then he's not meant to be.

    Hope this helps

  3. Stop being angry at your friends for a start.  It's not their fault you're too shy to go out by yourself.  One of the biggest lessons we need to learn is that while it's great to laugh and have a good time, it's also part of life to feel sad and a bit lonely and down.  Enjoy these times too.  You won't always have someone to be there to cheer you up, hold your hand etc and very few dance around in a permanent state of bliss.  Now is the perfect opportunity to learn how to guide your thoughts from 'woe is me' to 'It's not that bad' and think of something nice, a funny joke or situation........then do something nice for yourself...make a tasty snack, read a bit etc.  Before you know it you don't feel quite so bad.  The mind is a b*****d at times.  It tries to tell you that this or that must happen and if it doesn't happen then you have to 'crack a sad'.  This is when your logic takes over and you say 'like h**l I have to be sad'.  Holidays are the time when you are most vulnerable to this sort of 'mind attack' because it seems everyone else is out having a ball.

Enjoy the here and now.  Be happy with what you have, not angry or sad about what you have not.
