Question:

How can I clean a circuit board?

I have a gas stove with an electronic control pad that has been in storage for over three years. We've moved into a house where we can have our stove again, and everything works except for two buttons. I've taken the circuit board out to inspect it, and it's covered in bug remains and crud! I'm pretty sure if I can get the crud off the circuit board, the buttons will work again. But I don't want to damage the board in the process. Any suggestions?

  2. At any electronics store, you can find a spray can of Contact Cleaner. It is inexpensive, and leaves no residue on the circuit board. The liquid will evaporate almost instantly, and can be put into service as soon as you get it back together.

  3. Go to radio shack and get some cleaner. follow the directions on the can.

  4. you can buy those comprssed air containers at staples or radioshack.
