Hey, i got my mattress a while ago, around 2 years ago from My moms ex-boyfriend, its a Queen (or king?) sized bed

now the problem is, I'm a dirty person lol, as in my room is never clean and all my clothes and stuff wind up on the floor (still only 14 years old)

now at one point i had a Mattress sheet... that seemed to disappear...

now after the years of me sleeping on it with just a comforter its really dirty, it has one big stain form before i got it but the problem i have with it is that the dirt and stuff on it, made the White mattress a.. gross light brown color lol

I need to know a very officiant way to make it clean, BEFORE i get a new sheet

so any help would be appreciated

  1. Umm…if your mattress is dirty it probably means there are a lot of bed bugs and to get rid of them you can leave it out in the sun for a while.

  2. Buy or borrow a small wet/dry shopvac... Give  both sides of the mattress a really good vacuum... You can also get a box of baking soda and mix it with iodized table salt.... Sprinkle mixture on mattress and leave on at least overnight or all day.... Vacuum with shopvac... The baking soda with get rid of any lingering odors and the salt picks up loose dirt/debris... So, it should help....

If it's still dirty... Try a can of spray on upholstry foam cleaner... For fabrics tha can't go in the wash..... Follow instructions....

If that doesn't work.... Get a mattress cover that's machine washable.. That will cover the unsightly mattress and you can get nice new bedsheets.. Get a couple sets so you can wash them every week.... and change  them!

Also, you are 14 yrs. old... You should be learning how to do laundry for yourself...

    Good luck

  3. Does your Mom have a steam cleaner or access to one?  That is the best way to get out the dirt and if you have any bugs.  Don't wet too much or it will take a while to dry.  If not try  one of those  rug cleaners.  Let dry and vacumn thourghly.

  4. bleach it =)

  5. put in in the washing machine
