How can I clean my really messy room?

Question

My room is really cruddy. I've got a tall bed with a desk underneath, and a small wardrobe with boxes of more crud inside. Half of my room is mostly populated with paper, books and more boxes. I have another wardrobe with stuff in the bottom, and a desk with even more boxes stuffed under that. As you can tell, my room is pretty awful.

There is stuff that I could throw away but, I don't know where to start.

Easy, start with one area of your room and go through the things there. Separate the things you'd want to stay in your room from the things you want to be out. After that, go to another area of your room..

start nearest the door!

anything you are chucking out, put in black sacks outside the room.

anything you are keeping, sort it, box it if needed and put it tidy

well i would start by getting a trash bad and loooking aroundd and putting everything you dont want ,or thats trash in it. like paperr, books u will never read! then pick all the books you do want up and if you dont have a self put them in a neat pile on your deskk, take every single peice of clothing you have in your closet, boxes, under the bed and loook throw to see what you want to keeep, then hang the stuff you want up. Vacum and make your bed, and clean up your desk area! it will take alittle bit of time but when your done your room will loook great! =]

Start in one place ie...bed/closet/desk etc.

Get a trash can for throw aways/a box for give aways/a box for this goes in another room/a box for keeps.

Sort all the stuff into those 4 boxes.

Then put all the keep items up where they belong in your space.  

You might need to get some organizers to make it all neat looking, but it isn't a must just having it all placed neatly where it belongs and the trash thrown out it will look better.  

One all the areas are clean then start from the top down.  Meaning clean the light fixture first and work your way down to cleaning the floor.
