Question:

How can I clean my shoes?

I was walking a lot through fields today, and stupidly decided to wear white, plimpsol-type shoes. Anyway, I didn't anticipate just quite wet it would be, and my shoes are absolutely plastered in mud and stained with muddy water. I put my shoes in the washing machine, and it has made absolutely no difference, they are still stained with muddy water?

What is the best way to clean them? They're 100 percent cotton.

Thanks

  2. Check your local Wal-Mart, in the shoe department, where they have the shoe polish.  Look for the canvas sport shoe cleaner.  I used it on a brand new pair that got red mud on them.  You just scrub it in with the aplicator.  Mine came clean.

  3. you can try a wet baby wipe they work on a lot of things....

  4. Try white shoe polish. We used to use the bottled kind with the sponge on top.

  5. take a alcohol pad and rub the areas that are dirty.i have done that before at work.i work in a hospital and we have the alcohol pads handy.

  6. Use oxyclean and an old toothbrush. Scrub them clean, rinse in cold water, dry them in the sun.
