Question:

How can I clean my vintage stuffed animals without hurting them?

I've got lots of Rainbow Brite dolls and other 80's dolls and stuffed animals I played with as a little girl. I usually put them on shelves, hang them in a toy hammock, or pile them into a wicker backet in my room. Alot of them are white though and I noticed they are becoming dingy and dusty. They are over 20 years old so I can't put them in a washer or a dryer.

Is there anyway I can clean them by hand without hurting them? I want them to look bright white again. I thought about putting them in plastic bags in the closet but I love to look at them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

  1. You can always use special fur cleaner:

Also you can carefully wash with warm water.

  2. There is a great how to article that you can read at the below site:

They are an online retailer of stuffed animals, so they know what they are doing. Good Luck!
