How can I clean the primer off my hands?

I wanted to paint my bedroom door. I sanded the door first. then I painted the door with primer Latex. I got some primer on my hands and arms. The Homedepot clerk said, they are water base and I can clean them with water. I tried to clean with soap and water, it didnt go away. I cleaned the brush in the kitchen sink. a friend told me I shouldn't clean the brush at home, since it is like glue and sticks. I will paint the door when the primer is completely dry.

  Tide  cleans  everything..

White spirit should do it.

If you have some baby oil or hand cream then put it on your hands. You should be able to rub it off then.
