  1. can you get his password? if you can you can,  close it on the managers page..

  2. Here is how you can delete a group. It is easy:

    1. Go to your group's main page.

    2. From the left hand column choose "management"

    3. A box appears.

    4. On the right hand side of the box there is a section called "Delete Group" and a button for you to click on.

    5. In order to do this, (if I am not mistaken) you have to be the owner of the group, not the moderator.

    Hope this helps.

  3. delate the group

or look for another moderator to get rid of it

  4. To delete a group, you must be the group owner or a moderator with the assigned privilege.  Even if the owner has died and there is no moderator with the privilege to delete the group, the fact remains:  Only the owner or privileged moderator can delete a group.

If you have the assigned privilege to delete it, this is how:

Sign in to the group you wish to delete.

    Click on Management.

On right side of screen under "Delete Group", click on "Delete" and then confirm that you do want to delete the group.

If you do not have that privilege and there is no current privileged moderator, you can start a new group and invite members from old group to join your new one.

If you are a family member who knows the owners Yahoo ID and password, you could sign in to the deceased's group and delete it using the instructions given above.
