How can I come back to NYC in order to pursue a career?

I am an MBA international student having graduated from a NY university since May 2007. After graduation I had to come back home in Europe and I also worked for 7 months but now I want to come back to NY to obtain work experience and start my career. I know that international students can work in US for 3yrs after graduation. Now that I have gone for a year how can I go back and work in the states?

go to the american embassy and apply for a work permit!!!
