I always sit myself down and try to be seriously serious about my school work, but no matter how hard i try i always get distracted. it's sooo annoying. either i can't live without music and need to listen to something or my head explodes from all the silence :| you know....silent like cricket silent! i go nuts from the pressure. oh and sugar doesn't work for me. neither does caffeine.

  1. Hi,

    I think u r interested in singing, it's good.

Another one about concentration on your school work.

    So,

Study when your heart says and for this try to make your heart and mind in to studies.

I think friends group study is another great option.

  2. I don't recommend the use of sugar and caffeine when you study. However, try switching subjects every so often. Work on math for half an hour, then switch to Language or science. Maybe have a snack half way through your work.

It's a myth that you can't listen to music when you study. In fact, music or something low in the background can help. For me, when I'm memorizing a fact or working on a math problem it helps to listen to a certain song. That way when I face it again, thinking of the song helps jump start my memory.

At the same time, don't have the music blaring. Have it at such a volume that you can still concentrate.

  3. So put your headphones on, find somewhere to be alone, and do your work. Its not silent, and you have nothing else around to do. Put the energy into your school work. Turning off your computer and avoiding sites like this would be a good start too.
