How can I connect SONY SA-W2500 subwoofer to my laptop 1/8" stereo jack without any extra receiver/amplifier?

The subwoofer comes with a cable with a phono plug on both sides. Is there a way to connect this to the 1/8" stereo jack using a simple converter ?

  1. to my understanding this has a built in amp.

    just buy a cable that changes the phono plug to a 1/8" plug.

    most computer stores have it.
