I have a Sherwood VR-670 system with a built-in DVD player, which has stopped working. I still want to be able to use the receiver. It does have 2 aux inputs in the back. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Cords, mate. It ain't hard.

  2. You have to use one of the video auxilliary inputs. You will need to swith the receiver to the aux input when you watch a dvd. You should use the red green and blue for the video (assuming you get an upconverting dvd player) and the red/white audio that goes with that input

  3. The link below is for the manual, just in case you don't have it.  If you want to use it for audio only, you will only need the cables with the red and white connectors on them to connect to an external amplifier, if you have one.  See paragraph 2 on page 7.
