I have a 1000w phillips home theatre receiver with 5.1 speakers and want to hook it up to my computer for FULL surround sound (not stereo rca).

I also have a barracuda sound card and 780i motherboard that are both 7.1 compatible and a sambsung 26" hdmi monitor and a blueray drive by sony.

What connections would I need to make this happen so I can listen to blueray movies on these speakers?

  1. You are going to have to have either an optical or digital coax cable to get actuall surround sound from the pc to the sound system.
