The guy in the sony store asked me buy a Digital Optical Audio Cable...but before I bought it..i checked and i couldnt find a proper input in my dvd player. Im guessing its this one "D.C.A.C. Auto Calibration: Bronze"

I need to know which cable exactly i need...and it would be perfect if i can connect it to my PC too.

  1. The DCAC isn't for connecting other devices, its how the system is going to calibrate your speakers once you're set up.

You shouldn't have to connect your DVD player to this, the DAVS system you bought has one built in and consequently you don't need an Optical Digital cable either.

To connect it to your spanking new Bravia, all you should have to do is run an HDMI cable from the DAVS home theatre system to one of the HDMI inputs of the TV and you're away. Don't get caught out buying super expensive HDMI cables either, there are plenty of less expensive ones available if you shop around the 'net.

As far as your PC goes, the TV does have a D-sub 15 pin input which is the standard connection for computers to monitors, TVs or projectors. I wouldn't be surprised if your current monitor cable was all you needed to connect it up. Although, now that I think about it the Bravia I bought recently in Australia came with the cable included.
