How can I connect my computer to play video and other stuff on my TV?

It depends on which video output you're computer has and what video input your tv has.

If they both have s-video or hdmi then you should just buy a cable for s-video or hdmi, then check your computers manual how to change the video output to tv. Your tv probably just has to be on an av-channel.

If you have an older analog tv (pretty much anything that isn't dlp or lcd).  don't bother.  The quality is horrible.  TV's are interlaced signals.  Computers aren't.
