How can I connect my dvd player from the UK to my tv from US?

I have moved to the US with my home theatre system from the U.K. When I connect this to the US TV the images that play from the DVD are black and white. How do I connect this to show a clear color picture?

You don't, unless you have a multi-system player: the TV system in the UK and the U.S. is different: UK uses PAL, U.S. uses NTSC. You can visit your local Best Buy or electronics store and see if they sell standalone converters, or just buy a multi-system player (they are fairly cheap).
