  1. Um. Well I did have this problem before.

    The main thing that got me to go on my first coaster was peer pressure. :P

    The first roller coaster I went on was Top Gun at Paramounts Great America. Like everyone else, the drop can be frightning. But really, after the drop is over with, it's really fun.

    You just have to say to yourself. JUST DO IT. It's as simple as that. Don't even think about it. Just walk up with your friends up to the ride and just get on it.

    Starting with a simple loop coaster is good. You just can't be completely loose especially on the loop. Try to keep some body control. The loop honestly itsn't that bad. It feels weird, but in a good way.

    I dont' know how old you are, but if you are like mid teens or something. I suggest you just do it.

    Hope you have fun.

  2. Dude, just do babysteps.

    Start with a small kiddie coaster.

    Then go on a coaster, but not a really big one.

    Eventually, you should be able to go on coasters that have a 100 foot drop!!

  3. hah i'm the same! :)

    Start with something small, don't go on the scariest roller coaster in the park first. You can even go on some "childish" rides just to get you in the mood. And then if you feel comfortable enough to take on bigger ones, go ahead. Also going with someone you feel comfortable with and that is aware of you fear and that won't force you on anything is the best thing to do.

    I close my eyes during the scary parts, but everyone says not to do that because you won't know what's coming and it's scarier... and you should SCREAM it helps. :)

  4. Why do you need to conquer that fear?  Avoiding rollercoasters forever doesn't seem too hard.

    If you must conquer it, or anything, you've got to face the fear kid.  Do it, do it, do it, until you're not scared anymore.

  5. I haven't been on a big big coaster, but I have been on one with a slightly large drop(;

    I also hate the feeling of falling, but that's what coaster lovers love about coasters !(;

    Here's my way of having fun with a biiig drop; SCREAM !

    Scream your lungs out !!!

    It helps !

  6. i used to be SUPER SCARED. the only way to conquer one is to just do it. people say the chance of an injury on a roller coaster is even way less more than getting struck from lightning, so nothing really could happen. The only way to overcome it is to just do it. Last year i was scared, now i do all the rides from top thrill dragster to X2.Do not worried about it. Trust me.

    Hope This Helps! : )

    Good Luck!

  7. i love coasters but i just this sumer started the fliping ones... just work ur way up start with a good woodie then the small nonlooping steel then looping THEN the hugormus mega coasters

  8. I had the same problem, I was with all my friends at a theme park. I had to go on the rides otherwise I would seem like a pussycat. XD

    Rollercoasters are not scary, I know loops seem scary but actually they are really fun and don't last long! You stay in your seat, you don't move, it's all good!

    Enjoy!!

  9. You dont have to get on one if you dont want to.Loops are not pleasant either, i got off a loop coaster limpin' .

  10. i would start off on a very very low rollercoaster that doesn't go fast. after growing accustomed to that one, move up to a slightly bigger rollercoaster. this will probably take several trips to an amusement park before you begin to like the bigger ones. good luck

  11. I conquered mine by forcing myself to go on as many coasters as possible.  I started small and worked my way up but you could go for the big ones first.  That way the little ones wouldn't seem as bad.

  12. My best friend was scared of roller coasters until this year. She got over it by riding with people she trusted and knew wouldn't let anything bad happen to her. We also told her that she could wait in line with the other three of us and if she gets too scared (like in tears) she could walk away when we got to the front. She toughed it out and said, "I would have missed out on that and probably would have regreted it!"

  13. OMG!!!! you are missing out on sooooooo much fun!!!

    What you need to do is close your eyes and think about how much fun it is!!!! SCREAM UR LUNGS OUT!!!!! and laugh at urself for being soo funny!!

  14. I used to be the same way!

    The way I got over my fear is I went on it, closed my eyes, & screamed! It will be over before you know it & it you do it a couple times.. you will love it!

    Now I LOVE rollercoasters of ALL kinds!

    Have Fun!!! :)
