I went shopping with my two children, went in the car park in St Helens, left, and then went back in....they gave me a fine for 70 quid! I am so annoyed and have decided, despite spending roughly four or five hundred pounds a week in Tesco, if I have to pay this fine, I will never shop there again....I have already told my missus we will now shop at Asda...the fine is through Eurocar from London, or some c**p like that, anyone any ideas how I can fix this...don't hol;d out much hope...every Tesco shopper should beware....This is theft! What can I do?

  1. Make the workers go on strike!

  2. I have had a similar occurance with the Lidl group.

The carpark in my case was run (managed) by a private operator operating draconian rules with sophisticated plate reading surveilance cameras.

You have not explained what measures, if any to comply the the rules of the parking facility.

I presume that you had been shopping throughout the town and had taked some considerable time (many hours) before leaving with your car.

I presume that you consider your fine unfair as you had patronised the store to which it belongs.

With all that goes above , I can suggest that you write to the store customer services and ask for them to recind the fine on this particular occassion as you are a good customer who feels that another local store has more friendly parking facilities that you are more minded to use.

Should you have mitigating circumstances then voice these too.

Revenue collection is a highly computed business and letters of demand with threats will be in abundance to you.

Argue like h**l but avoid increasing costs and legal recourse to finally recover their fine.
