Hi all! I was talking to this girl a couple of days ago and she said she's pregnant with her 17 year old boyfriend's baby, who is cheating on her by the way. Her and her parents are on welfare from the government and she just recently dropped out of high school. She asked me how I thought about her having a baby. So, I told her how I felt about it. I told her that she's too young to be a mother, too broke to raise a child, and she doesn't have a good family support system that's going to help her out, especially financially, from what she told me. As soon as I said I think she should put it up for adoption after she has it, her face exploded and she got real angry. I don't have any kids but I know that raising kids is very expensive nowadays. I realize that she's a kid and she doesn't have a mature mentality yet so she wouldn't understand anything I'd say anyway. How can I convince a 16 year old girl on welfare that she should give her baby up for adoption? Any advice? Thanks!

  1. she is still young enough that she can have many more babies. shes 16 and tere are soooo many women out there that only wish they could concieve as I am one of them I would give everything and anything if it meant that a kind young new mother would help someone else out in a much more need. she has time for all the kids she wants. she should finish school and do what she planned and if she gave the baby up she can request to keep in contact with the family if she wanted to . lots of familys are good like that i know i would be. but yes in the end its her decision and she will realize whats right and not after the birth
