How can I convince my mom to let me get a skateboard?

My mom thinks im going to break my arm or something, but I told her im just going to ride on the street, the street is flat. And i'd be riding with my friends.

I told her id wear pads but she keeps saying no! It's really pissing me off because I really want a skateboard.

How can I convince her?

tell her if u cant get one ull tell the police that she is abusing u ... but thats just my opinion

same goes for me my parents are like no and im like why and my dads like ur going to get hurt but like i tried showing them that i know how to do it but their like yea what evrr

          well u could like talk about it 24/7 or wish really really hard

Hello. Awkward dilemma because its hard to change a parents mind when the are adamant on a subject, but there is no harm in trying.

Try to say that its really good exercise (witch it is) all parents want there son/daughter to be fit and healthy.

Hint that she is being over protective by saying stuff like, all my mates have got them and their parents don't mind.

Keep saying that you want to get into a sport, thats why you want the skatebored.

Say if I break my arm its my problem, ill deal with the consequences.

You can say I told you so as much as you like.

If all the above fail, then try other tactics like.

We did it at school and the teacher said im realy talented.

This can be awkward when your parent asks about it at a parents evening.

Or just respect what your mother thinks and go along with it, it may be anoying, thats life.
