How can I convince my mum to get a cat?

My mum just hates cats, she says they are horrible little things that just poo all around the garden, how can I convince her I can get a cat for christmas or my birthday?

ask like.... "My gosh mom, my friend has a sale for a cheap cat.  Can we get it or else shes going to the pund!"

Just tell here what you would do if you get one if she says no keep telling her that you will take care of it.Just say i will keep it where it wont do anything.Explain man Explain!

why would you wanna make your mom get a  you a cat if you know she wouldnt like it , try a dog , dogs are great actuly i perfer them

Mom, ....... at 70 percent of the time in urban areas you are within 20 meters of a rat/mouse etc..

If you have a cat you're not..... so its either a cat running around or rats and mice...
