  1. Firstly, be as mature and grown up about this as you can be.

Perhaps you could ask the people at the restaurant if they would speak to your father about a job for you.

Maybe he would be willing to let you work if you convince him that you would be saving some of the money for your future (education, a house of your own some day)

Remember though, that your father may have some reason for not wanting you to work there - there may be things you don't know, or maybe he wants you to concentrate on your studies.

  2. First check out what the laws are in your community regarding hiring 14 year olds.  Next, make sure your grades are good and you do your homework.  Act responsibly around your parents then talk with them and give them your reasons for wanting to work

  3. i am in the same problem here! i would say to convince is that you need to show him you can juggle with school and work. just get good grades to show him that u can keep up with both. that is wat my mom is doing to me. dont worry ur not alone :D

  4. Start doing things around the house like chores voluntarily.

The more you show you are responsible enough for where you live and show that you know the rules and so forth, it should be no problem.

Keep your grades up in school, ask if there are things for you to do.

My mother started making me do my own laundry when I was around 12.  Start learning to do basic household chores by yourself (if you already haven't) and show your parents that you can be quite independent as well.

That's about all I can say.

    Good luck.
