  1. 1.Dont nag them, you can tell them as often as they wont and they wont budge, they'll think your being a baby.Be sly, when your talking about somthing us a couple of words to hint good things about a laptop.Use sublime messaging.

2.Explain they can make a time limit on the computer. If your on for over 2 hours at a time your not on the rest of the day (yeah, its tough..but you'll get more time..and your more chance of them budiging.)

Tell them youll go on a max of three times a day,all times no longer than two hours.

3.Explain it can help you study, and homework help. Its proven, using the internet can improve homework.

Tell them it will come in handy for subjects like art and history homework..it seriously does....i got straight a's for hiatory, art, maths and science,i revised on the computer..its helped ALOT.

4.Your mum&dad can use it if they wanted, maybe for work.

You can get really good laptops for amazing prices,i got a toshiba laptop for £275 bran new from comet and its lasted over 3 years now (: !

  2. tell that that its mandatory for school and especially your grade level.

  3. talk to them again, and try to strike a compromise.  tell them you will pay for it, or pay for half of it, and let them set the rules as to how much time you spend on it.  it is not a good reason for them to say you will spend to much time on it, because they are the parents and they can set rules for you!!  i think it depends on how old you are and what you think you need to have a laptop for.  school? fun? Do you already have a computer in the house?  if so, it doesn't sound like you need one until college.  I didn't have one until I got my first job and I made out just fine=]  either way, try to compromise with your parents.  if their only reason is because they are worried you are going to be on it too much, well, that's really not a good reason to say "no" when the time can be limited.

  5. tell them u would only use it wen u r bored and u need it for school

  6. Sayy that you need it for the coursees or lessons your sitting for school when you return, internet is the key to sucess ;)

  7. Tough sell, but promise them you will only spend a few hours a week on it after you finish your homework

  8. even if you did spend all you're time on it that would good just get all you're work done first and don't do anything dumb on the computer and always let you're parents see what you are doing on there than i don't see where there is a problem,i think i would rather have my kids at home on the computer then at their friends house or on the streets.
