How can I convince my parents to let me take guitar lessons? I play harp, flute, piano for fun(no lessons), volleyball, and we just got a new puppy. How can I convince my parents that I'm ready to take harp? Btw, I have harp once a week, volleyball 2 times (except now i don't because season ended), and flute with band.

My parents concerns are: cost, time, and they think i'll lose interest in it. but i wont, its like almost my life long dream. So i was wondering what is a sure fire way to convince them ?

I also want to take voice lessons. But, I can cut those out if I get to busy and cost wise too. Also, my harp teacher gives out voice lessons too.

And I'm not old enough for a job yet.

  1. Just tell your parents your torn between being a stripper and a guitar player. You either need a stripper pole, a place to put it, with enough room for the guys to watch from, or a guitar and lessons. Then step back and see how fast you will be signed up for guitar lessons. If they are slow to sign you up just start dancing around the house,

and pow here comes the guitar.

    Good luck

  2. Search online.  There are tons of places that teach guitar, offer tips, have tabs and even jam tracks to play along with. My son has had a guitar for years, but he only recently got interested in learning.  He went online a in just a few weeks can play several songs.

As a parent, I think you already have enough on your plate without getting more lessons that you have to go to at a certain time each week.  But if you just work online any time you have a minute, you can learn guitar.

  3. you can just talk to them one night at dinner and be like i would like to take gutair lessons and it has been my life long dream other stuff like tat
