Question:

How can I convince my parents to let me take the bus alone?

My parents are very overprotective. My mom has nothing better to do but protect me, so when I have water polo practice I have to take the bus but my overprotective father makes my mother follow me and she is more than happy to. I need to help my mom get a hobby and try to convince my dad that I'm street smart and can take the bus alone. So many kids on the bus are able too and I know that my dad is afraid of rapers, but my mom's prescence doesn't really help. Usually my mom dozes off and I don't know how she scares people or really looks like a body guard. If I can convince my parents I'll be ok they'd probably let me take the bus alone. Any advice? Oh also I'm 13.

  1. CLAP CLAP CLAP

You have excellent grammar for a 13 year old so I can automatically say if I was your parent I would definitly allow you to go on your own to the bus stop. You have a good head on your shoulders I'm sure you understand their just trying to be good parents so I also applaud your parents however you need to have a nice polite calm conversation with your parents that your older now and you know not to go in someone elses car etc... If you can demonstrate your maturity well to them hopefully they will have a change of heart.

    Good luck!
